Empower people with disability to achieve greater levels of independence

If you are passionate about supporting people with disability to reach their potential and live their own life, then this is the course for you.

When you complete this course you will be on a pathway to a career in the rewarding and sometimes challenging world of disability work. You could find yourself working in a range of settings including residential, employment, recreational and/or day support, advocacy and case management, supporting people with a disability to gain skills and knowledge to move towards a more independent and self-determined life.

The Certificate IV in Disability includes a supervised work placement, giving you the opportunity to apply your training in a meaningful and relevant way. Students often gain employment through their work placement.

Your qualification prepares you for roles such as:

Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to become a disability advocacy/support officer, social trainer, team leader, residential care officer, recreation officer, or employment support officer.
