Many trades in the building industry revolve around structural work that is essential but largely out of sight. But as a so-called finishing trade, a plasterer’s work is on display for everyone to see.

A plasterer’s task is to cover surfaces such as:

  • timber and
  • metal

They cover these surfaces prior to painting to make interiors and exteriors aesthetically pleasing.

Your qualification prepares you for roles such as:

Successful completion of this qualification provides you with the opportunity to become an apprentice in the building and construction industry, but you need to be registered with The Apprenticeship Office and be employed.
