Certificate IV in Music Industry

This qualification will further develop your practical skills and knowledge in music performance and composition. You will learn about the music industry, copyright and royalties. You can also choose to develop skills in stagecraft, midi music composition, audition and performance skills as a soloist or as part of a group, reading music, performing backup accompaniment, improvisation, operating a mixing console, assessing performance and recording deals.

Gain the practical skills and knowledge to enhance your musical and production skills. This course introduces basic musical and sound concepts and you will learn skills that will enable you to play music or sing, make a music demo, use technical equipment and computers, record and edit sound and prepare yourself for performance.

Electives will focus on song writing and performance within ensembles, recording and mixing within the studio and live environments and follow the production processes through to the completion of a demo recording.
